Why does my MQA file show as HD

Follow

BLS-KB16-602

As part of the Authentication process, each file is verified by the MQA decoder. When the file is first opened, Bluesound will register a 24-bit HD file is being played. Once the file is Authenticated as MQA, that indicator will be replaced with the MQA logo. This process should happen in the first few seconds of playback. Rest assured the decoding process starts immediately at playback and the music is not interrupted or altered.

For more details please see BLS-KB16-601 or check out mqa.co.uk.
